My Story
I’m Hannah Clare, a certified Health Coach, Kinesiologist, Intuitive Eating Counselor, and Yoga Teacher with over five years of experience guiding individuals toward authentic well-being.

My journey into health coaching was sparked by a deep fascination with the body’s natural intelligence. During my university studies, I marveled at how incredible our bodies are, yet I noticed that many of us are taught to ignore our body’s cues in favor of external rules. I experienced this disconnection firsthand, struggling with perfectionism, rigid overexercising, food restriction, and burnout—all fueled by hustle and diet culture. What I truly needed was rest, compassion and self-trust, not more wellness rules to follow or products to buy.

This realization led me to embrace a new approach, blending science-backed research with body attunement. I believe well-being is guided by your inner compass, not fleeting wellness trends. My mission is to empower you to reconnect with your body, filter out the noise of wellness culture, and adopt sustainable health-promoting habits that are rooted in self-care, not self-control.

Whether you’re eager to rediscover the joy of movement, heal your relationship with food, or embrace rest and connection, I’m here to support your journey. I live in Kamloops, BC, where I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, eating ice cream and noodles (yes, I have a ramen tattoo), mountain biking, and rewatching The Office for the 10th time.

Core Values
Authentic Health & Self-Care
Authentic health is a dynamic interplay between mental, physical, and emotional well-being, emphasizing self-care that honors your true needs and circumstances. It’s about cultivating sustainable, health-promoting behaviors that align with who you are, rather than conforming to external pressures or ideals. This approach empowers you to reclaim your right to rest and resist the grind of hustle culture.
Intuitive Eating & Mindful Movement
Intuitive Eating and Mindful Movement are about nurturing, not punishing, your body. This non-diet approach embraces the idea that all foods fit, removing the morality from eating. It encourages you to trust your body’s cues, enjoy a variety of foods, and move in ways that feel joyful and sustainable. It’s about creating a balanced, compassionate relationship with food and movement, free from guilt and rigidity.
Body Respect & Connection
All bodies are wise and deserve respect, even if you don’t love yours 100% of the time. This philosophy encourages you to reconnect with your body's innate wisdom, listening to its intuitive signals and needs when accessible. By working with your body rather than against it, you can cultivate a trusting and peaceful relationship with your physical self.
Self-Compassion & Values-Based Care
True self-care is rooted in self-compassion, not self-control. By embracing progress over perfection and centering your personal values, this approach helps you implement health-promoting behaviors that ebb and flow with your life. It respects your autonomy and acknowledges that while I bring expertise, you are the expert of your own experience, body, and mind.
Weight-Neutral & Health at Every Size
Health at Every Size promotes a weight-neutral approach, rejecting the notion that health can be measured by appearance. Weight loss isn’t required for health benefits, and focusing on aesthetics perpetuates weight stigma and diet culture. Instead, we prioritize behavior change and acknowledge the complex factors—such as genetics, environment, and social determinants—that contribute to well-being. We will detach self-worth from body size and appearance.
Inclusivity & Social Justice
This approach is committed to creating an inclusive, stigma-free environment where everyone’s well-being is prioritized. Centering social justice means advocating for equity and dismantling oppressive systems, ensuring that care is affirming, accessible, and respectful of each person’s identity, culture, experiences, and inherent worth.
Information Inspiration
I am deeply inspired by pioneers in this approach to well-being, including Christy Harrison, Evelyn Tribole, Elyse Resch, Sabrina Strings, Jessamyn Stanley, Aubrey Gordon, Pooja Lakshmin, Russ Harris, Kristen Neff, Tricia Hersey, Nedra Glover Tawwab, Louise Green, and Natalia Mehlman Petrzela.
Privilege Acknowledgement
As a white, cisgender, heterosexual, straight-sized, able-bodied woman, I acknowledge that my identity grants me unearned advantages and freedoms not equally accessible to everyone due to systemic inequities. I am committed to understanding your lived experience and providing you with (or helping you find) the most affirming care possible. I also strive to use my privilege to advocate for equity and the dismantling of systems of oppression, including diet and hustle culture.
